There’s Good Reasons To Take All Natural Health Supplements.

We seem to be getting fatter and less fit, and despite the fact that the government spend trillions on health. Cancer rates are going up compared to a hundred years ago. So if mainstream medicine isn’t making us healthier should we all be taking all natural health supplements?
Now of course mainstream medicine isn’t totally failing us, just look at how cancer cure rates have gone up. But regardless we seem to be getting cancer more than ever before.
So although cure rates are better it’s about the incidence of disease. Mainstream medicine focuses on cure, but all natural health supplements and many other forms of natural and alternative medicine focus on prevention.
Of course there is plenty more that we can be doing to help prevent poor health. A good diet, rich in fresh fruit and vegetables and low in fats, particularly saturated fats, and low in salt and sugar is essential, as is regular exercise, but there is growing evidence that good dietary supplementation is an essential part of a healthy lifestyle.
This is true for a variety of reasons. There is growing evidence that our horticultural practices of intensive monoculture farming are robbing the soil of the essential vitamins and minerals that our bodies need for optimum health. And if they aren’t in the soil they can’t be in the fruit and vegetables.
The same with chemical fertilizers, and I wonder about GM food too, but there is no clear evidence either way. But I don’t want to eat it.
But there is also evidence that there are so many different natural substances that could be hugely beneficial to our health, and even if we know about them we are unlikely to be able to satisfactorily add them to a daily diet.
For example I have been reading today about some exciting new discoveries, curcumin and resveratrol. These are both naturally occurring substances that have been researched recently and found to have a wide range of health benefits. Both are showing very promising results against a range of different health problems , and if you’re interested in taking these you have good reason. But it’s extremely difficult to do so without taking high quality all natural dietary supplements which include both of these.
There are some excellent niche health care and dietary supplement companies at the forefront of research into producing the highest quality all natural health supplements, and chances are you’ve never heard of these companies.
And there is one company that is in front of all of them that is producing an extremely high quality all natural dietary supplement range that includes 77 different natural substances known to have benefits against a wide range of health problems. And all 77 are combined into a world class delivery system, and the delivery system is one of the most essential components of any range of nutritional supplements.
There’s no doubt there is plenty of evidence that we should be taking a high quality range of nutritional supplements. Our rates of disease are rising and whilst modern medicine is doing well at cure we need to be concentrating ourselves on prevention. And there is no doubt either that one of the best preventions is intelligent use of good dietary supplementation.
Think about it, do you want to ever have to rely on a doctor for cure?

There is so much stress in our lives in this modern era that we live in. We are hit from all sides whether from home or from work. These pressures seem to be increasing. In previous eras danger from physical harm was the major cause of stress. This acute type of stress caused what is called the fight or flight reaction. We are under less physical danger these days as stress has shifted to more mental stress. The type of stress has changed, but not our reaction to it.
What happens when we come under stress? Our body’s natural reactions take over. Our breathing is increased as well as our heart rate. The major organs shut down all but the most vital functions to support hands and feet. Adrenaline is released to get the body primed for taking action. We feel a nervousness and tension as we are facing the unknown. All this chemical reaction is occurring with the build up of a physical action about to take place. However, when the stress is mental there is no physical release.
Stress management is learning how to cope with stress, redirect its energy and release it from the body. We may not be able to eliminate stress from our lives, but we can have strategies to deal with it positively. If you could take the heightened affects of being under stress and put it to positive pursuits, then we are working stress management. The toughest element of stress management is to release it physically.
Effective stress management requires a physical outlet to release the chemicals that the body is releasing when under stress. Physical exertion is one of the best methods, since that is what the body is primed to do. Another excellent method to release stress is massage therapy. There are many benefits with massage therapy. It is great to loosen up tight muscles and relieve tension. It can relax the organs in the body activated by the stress reaction. It will release toxins that are in our muscles and help to flush them out of our system. And best of all it helps us relax our mind and bring harmony back to the body.
Massage chair recliners have many effective massage therapies with proven beneficial effects. Massage chairs come equipped with Shiatsu massage, Swedish massage, Deep Tissue and many others. Each of these massage treatments target specific areas and have different benefits. In general, they all help induce relaxation and help to ease aches and pains. Massage helps to remove toxins from the body and enhances circulation of the blood and lymph. Both the blood and lymph clean the body of toxins and other potentially harmful substances.
Massage cannot eliminate the causes of stress. Stress comes in many forms and individuals all respond differently to them. However, massage therapy can be an essential tool in stress management. Especially massage chairs which offer unprecedented convenience and availability. These massage chairs offer full body massage capability. They can massage from head to toe. Many advanced massage chairs have stretching capabilities to elongate and relax the lower body. They also may have built in music players which help take your mind off the mental stresses impacting you.

Quit Smoking Side Effects – What to Expect When You Quit

Now that you’ve decided to stop smoking, you should be aware that there are some side effects that happen when you quit smoking. These effects are usually short term, but they can be pretty intense, and you may need the help of your physician or some medications in order to manage the symptoms so that you don’t pick up the habit again.
One of the first quit smoking side effect that you will experience is lightheadedness. This will usually occur a day or two after you stop smoking, so you’ll need to make sure that you have some time to lie down and rest at different periods of the day. After a couple of days, the dizziness will usually subside, and you’ll be able to stand up for long periods of time without feeling sick.
You might also suffer from fatigue for a few days; but you can alleviate this quit smoking side effect faster than normal if you exercise daily and make sure you eat a lot of fresh fruits and raw vegetables. The exercising will also help you sleep better as insomnia is another side effect that you may experience when you stop smoking.
If you are having problems going to sleep at nights after you stop smoking, you can calm and soothe your nerves by drinking some lavender or chamomile tea. This will help you get some sleep.
Other side effects of quitting smoking include headaches and increased appetite. Usually, if you are eating healthy snacks in between meals, you can curb your appetite without putting on extra weight. But, don’t be surprised if your body is craving large amounts of food after you have already eaten. You may be able to eat two or three fruits at a time, or take in more whole grain snacks than usual. This is perfectly normal; you’ll just need to make sure that your meals and snacks have plenty of fiber and antioxidants, so that you can continue to rid the body of toxins.
The most worrying quit smoking side effects are depression and anxiety. These two side effects can be quite severe if you have been smoking for years. However, you can consult your doctor to prescribe some medication for the depression until the symptoms abate. In addition, you may suffer from low energy levels, and this could affect your social life as you will be too irritable to spend time with friends and family. In fact, this is considered to be one of the major reasons why smokers hesitate to give up smoking. However, medications like Paxil or St John’s wort, which is a natural supplement, can help you overcome these side effects.

Knowing and Recognising the Symptoms of a Yeast Infection

Candida is a fungus that is present in most people naturally but it is kept in check by good bacteria and by our immune systems. There are times that this fungus can grow more than it should such as when our body’s undergoing chemical changes i.e when taking certain drugs, hormonal times like pregnancy, menopause or menstruation, or individual lifestyles and habits. This leads to a yeast infection which can affect men, women and children though as vaginal yeast infections are the more common, women are more at risk. In fact most women, seventy five per cent at least, will get a yeast infection at least once in her life.
Symptoms range from person to person but itching is very common and can be mild to extreme. It can lead to very negative consequences for people trying to live normal lives. Other common symptoms are the area around the labia being red and irritated, a swollen vulvae, pain when urinating, and an unpleasant odor from a white cottage cheese like discharge.
Whichever of the symptoms you suffer from, be it all or just one they need to be treated as soon as possible. No-one wants to live with the discomfort and pain a yeast infection can cause. You have really three options to find treatment from, the doctor can give you a prescripted medication; usually a fungal cream and there are also various creams that can be purchased from pharmacies or drugstores. They treat the symptoms and are meant to rebalance the infected area.
Home remedies are a popular choice today for many sufferers and there are several effective choices. Apple cider vinegar poured into a bath is soothing when soaked in. Yogurt is great as long as you use the kind that is probiotic as the good bacteria are what get the pH back in balance. Garlic with its anti-fungal contents can also be use either eaten or inserted into the vagina.
If you are lucky enough not to have a yeast infection yet, there are things you can do to keep it that way. Stop wearing tight clothing and underwear like pantyhose. Wear breathable materials like cotton panties. You do not want to keep the genital area constantly warm, damp and dark as this is the perfect environment for the fungus to breed in. Drink plenty of water and have a diet that is low in yeast products and sugars. Also make sure you sleep enough each night to ensure your immune system is at the top of its game.

Mesothelioma Immediate Identification Is Crucial

Individuals who are open to asbestos particles more often are vulnerable to suffer the fatal disease, mesothelioma. The illness cause malignant cells in the epithelium originating in the embryonic mesoderm – the inner membrane that overlies the inner parts of the body. Generally, Mesothelioma harms the internalcovering of the pectus wall and the lungs. It could in addition touch the peritoneum – the interior lining of the stomach and the pericardium that protects the heart and tunica vaginalis.
Individuals engaged in asbestos related manufacture companies are the mainly susceptible and have registered the highest number of mesothelioma affected people. Moreover, families who have someone or people employed in these sorts of companies are too touched by the disease as they frequently are submitted to asbestos dust when they launder their clothes or from lots of other behavior that expose them to asbestos detritus.
While there will be a prominent possibility of getting mesothelioma with smoking, it is not necessarily related with smokers. Nonetheless, lung cancers are most prominent illness with smokers whereas mesothelioma assails only persons who have relations with asbestos relevant treatment or in the company of their family members. Those who live next to these installations are too in danger of having mesothelioma as others.
Persons who have a medical condition with mesothelioma will not reveal signs and symptoms of the sickness in its premature phases. Because of this it is very complicated to diagnose it at the early stage and by the time it is detected, it can be already very late to cure them. The signs and symptoms comprise chest pains, weight loss and trouble breathing still they may be different according to the situation of the patients.
CT scan, X-ray and tissue sampling are the testing techniques performed on a patient to clarify if mesothelioma is the case. The tissue samples are obtained by introducing a camera with a conduit to the sick areas and these tissue samples are transferred for microscopic tests. Timely detection of the illness assists physicians to apply effective cures to reduce the effects.
It is one of the deadliest diseases today, and because of the exposure to asbestos was high before and even after the ’80s there are many mesothelioma settlement cases these days. To find more information about mesothelioma class action visit our website by clicking on one of these links.
Dealing With Male Menopause Naturally

There are many physical changes, a lot of which are caused by hormonal shifts that occur as we age, that occur in both men and women as they get older. Men do not experience anything akin to menopause in women, but they do experience something called andropause which is due to a drop in testosterone. Approximately 10% of a male’s testosterone levels is lost every decade beginning in a man’s thirties. This hormonal alteration causes many changes, the most notable of which is a drop in the libido.
Other than libido and sexual act, your testosterone levels manipulate your metabolism; control bone mass, hair loss and other processes in the male body. When you get old, declining testosterone guides to a slower metabolism, which is why men find it harder to keep off those spare tires as they age.
Although we have been aware of the effect age has on the level of testosterone levels in men there have not been any solutions on the table until now. Many of these remedies are effective and can be administered naturally with the goal of hormonal levels last experienced in one’s twenties.

The Laser Treatment Classes of Aesthetic Lasers
October 25, 2009 by Kylie J. Peterson
[I:http://www.healthehow.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/KylieJPeterson1.jpg]The rise of laser treatments in laser clinics and med spas has led to accelerating advancements in aesthetic lasers. New and improved aesthetic lasers are entering the cosmetic medical market every few months. This quickening development curve is changing the classification criterion of cosmetic lasers every few months. Understandably, the following information is to be used only as a guideline and can’t be considered to be a current.
Lasers in use by medical practitioners typically have low outputs of energy and power, and are thus placed in ANSI (American National Standards Institute) Class 2 category. Another important organization is the LIA (Laser Institute of America). The majority of medical lasers fall into the ANSI Class 3 or 4 categories with most surgical lasers being in ANSI Class 4. Most medical and/or surgical lasers are classified by the FDA (Food and Drug administration) as Class II or Class III medical devices.
Class 1
Class 1 lasers are not considered to pose any hazards when operated according to normal conditions and includes lasers which are completely enclosed such as CD players, fiber-optics devices, and printers. These devices cannot have emissions exceeding the maximum permitted exposure (MPE) under any conditions are considered to be class 1 systems.
Still, problems can occur if the laser is outside of the enclosure.
The placement of hazard or warning labels are required for this class inside the unit or underneath cover panels where the person performing the repair can be adequately warned of a potential hazard.
Class 2a
Few lasers qualify for this class of low-power, visible light lasers. Lasers in this class do not pose a threat if the beam of light is directly viewed for periods of time less than 16 minutes or so. Visible light lasers with a total output power less than 1 milliwatt, but greater than a few microwatts.
Class 2 Lasers
These visible light lasers are intense enough that the cause the normal aversion response. (The aversion response is when the eyelids close, or the head moves in order to avoid the light.)
Class 3a Lasers
This includes those lasers emitting ultraviolet or infrared light as well as visible light. All devices within the Class 1 AEL (Allowed Exposure Level) with laser output between .18μm and 1mm fall in this class. (Common Laser pointers are class 3a laser devices.)
Class 3b
These include the same spectrum as class 3a, but increase the output levels to that of Class 2 AEL.
Class 4
These lasers includes any power output that exceeds the Class 2 AEL. Almost every laser that produces more than 0.5 watts is in this class.
Laser clinics and medical spas that are performing cosmetic laser treatments (laser hair removal, etc) are now considered to be treating medical patients. All of the components of regular medical care play an important role when designing a post-procedure treatment plan for the patient who just underwent a cosmetic laser treatment or the Rosacea or acne patient who just underwent an IPL (intense pulse light) treatment. When performing medical treatments in a med spa or laser clinic, you’re the ‘medical’ skin care expert and your recommendations of skin care products and aesthetic laser treatments will carry weight with your clients. You’re also a critical support to the med spas who have planned an aggressive therapy treatment for their patients. It’s incumbent upon you to understand all aspects of the care you’re providing.

How To Get Rid Of Cellulite On Thighs

Cellulite is a skin disease that is often described as “orange peel” appearance. It is usually, but not limited to, thighs, buttocks and stomach. Over ninety percent of cases occur in women of cellulite. Cellulite rarely affects men.
Cellulite is very superficial pockets of trapped fat. Therein lies the cause of uneven skin condition. Cellulite can happen to anybody. Women are more often because men and women have different lattice connective tissue under the skin. Grid women, makes them susceptible to deformation of fat.
The main reason why cellulite is more likely to be found in the thighs, buttocks and hips is because of Lipoprotein lipase, which is responsible in the control and distribution of fat around our body. Lipoprotein lipase tends to be more concentrated in these areas of the body.
Cellulite thighs are ugly for many people. Cellulite is usually carried out under lax legs – as if the skin too. The reason is the layer of fat that push against the connective tissue under the skin so the skin surface respected lumpy or dimpled.
A simple test to find out if you have cellulite is by pinching your skin around the upper thigh. If it looks lumpy, then chances are you have cellulite. Basically cellulite is not a fat or weight problem. It is a skin condition and has little to do with your weight or with how much weight you lose.
Treatments like liposuction and Mesotherapy Treatment are very popular with people who want to get rid of cellulite on thighs and unsightly. However, these are very expensive medical procedures and their effects are not permanent.
Cheaper alternatives are creams and lotions. These products claim that it can improve circulation to dissolve fat cells and the liquid paints and toxins from the body.
Diet also helps reduce cellulite. Some argue that healthy foods for the skin to eliminate cellulite. Foods that contain nutrients such as lecithin, fatty acids and amino acids and antioxidants can also help.
The reason is that these nutrients encourage the reduction of cellular inflammation and increased cell movement.
Some advocate for massages are the best in the fight against cellulite on the thighs. Machines with rolling rollers are used to massage away cellulite. Massages are expensive and require several sessions before the results are clearly visible. The effects of massage are not permanent and eventually canceled again cellulite treatment.
Laser treatment has made further progress in the treatment of cellulite. Some say that it is very effective because of the laser to improve skin looks better than other treatments. The cost disadvantage of this procedure. This is a non-invasive, but usually cost thousands of dollars.
Herbal and lounge coats, are a cheaper alternative for most women. Usually you will receive this treatment in the local spa. In essence, detoxifies the body and improves skin elasticity.
These are just some of the procedures available to treat cellulite on the thighs. It is best to start with the natural remedies first — that is, those you can do at home — before turning to more invasive treatments like surgery as a last resort.

Quit Smoking without Gaining Weight
October 22, 2009 by Barb Mitchel
Unfortunately, too many smokers use fear of gaining weight as an excuse to avoid doing one of the most important things they could do for their health – stop smoking. I’ll tell you how to prevent weight gain when you stop smoking in a minute, but I want to begin with some facts about the problem.
First of all, even if a person does nothing to avoid putting on weight, the average weight will be hardly 5 to 10 pounds when you quit smoking. yes, it would be ideal if you didn’t gain any weight, but you have to realize that this weight gain is not too much to worry about. And you will see that it is rather easy to prevent this weight gain.
Secondly, the negative effects of smoking far, far exceed any negative results you might experience even if you do put on a few pounds. There’s no comparison. The simple fact is that worrying about gaining weight is a poor excuse for not doing what needs to be done – quitting.
The simplest way to prevent quit smoking weight gain is to be active. Sounds simple, and it definitely is. It is a scientifically proven fact. In a study involving women, it was found that women, who stop smoking, gain less than 3 pounds if they walk for 45 minutes a day. This is even if they take no other measures to avoid the weight gain.
It goes without saying that high-intensity exercise would be more beneficial, but given the fact that you used to smoke means that you have no inclination to exercising. Therefore, the best way of being active is through walking.
It can be enticing to make significant changes to prevent the gain of weight, but usually most people are not receptive to it. Quitting smoking is quite a big step in your life, and you may not want to immediately start with changing your eating habits and opting for a physical conditioning program.
It’s tempting to recommend making more drastic changes to prevent weight gain, but that’s not a good idea for most people. Giving up cigarettes is a big enough change without trying to completely overhaul your diet and start a comprehensive fitness program at the same time.
Besides helping you combat the quit smoking weight gain, walking will also benefit you in many other ways. When you are trying to stop smoking, walking will help you deal with the stress in a positive manner. Also, many people who have the urge to smoke, use walking as a way to distract themselves from the craving. Just breathing fresh air and being active is a better alternative than killing yourself slowly with cigarette smoke.
Walking has some other benefits when you’re trying to quit smoking. For one, it relieves stress in a much healthier way than smoking ever could. Also, many quitters use going for a walk as a distraction if they feel a craving coming on. Filling your lungs with fresh air and enjoying your body being active is a great replacement for dragging on another coffin nail.
So, if all this time you were worried about gaining weight and that was your sole reason to continue smoking, it is now time to finally quit. Remember, you will gain a lot from giving up smoking and it definitely will not be the weight!
