Airsoft Guns And Associated Accessories

Airsoft guns as an enthusiast activity can bring many hours of enjoyment, especially when one takes some time to learn a little bit about what these toy replica guns can do for most hobbyists. It’s a fact that these sorts of replica weapons fire rubber BBs or BBs that are composed of soft plastic at velocities such that a lot of fun can be created without a lot of potential harm.
Usually, airsoft guns are available as extremely detailed replicas of some of the most popular handgun, shotgun or military rifles in the world. Coming in all shapes and sizes, most folks who buy them usually start out with a military version such as the M4 carbine.
For some reason, most enthusiasts seem to gravitate toward the rifle versions of these airsoft guns. The most popular model of replica gun sold is currently that M4 carbine with an under barrel grenade launcher. Usually, most manufacturers of these kinds of replica guns include a brightly colored tip at the end of the barrel or muzzle. It’s there for a reason.
Most such airsoft guns are powered electrically, meaning an onboard rechargeable battery will power a piston that generates enough air to push one of those soft plastic or rubber BBs out of the barrel at around 300 ft./s of velocity, which is quick enough to make role-playing or team against team shooter competitions extremely enjoyable and exciting.
If deciding that taking up airsoft guns as a hobby is going to be a good idea, it’s a smart first step, then, to head to the Internet to see what sort of replica weapons will be available and how much they’ll cost to purchase. Normally, a quality replica of something like the M4 carbine will run from $50 for a purely plastic model up to $300 for one that has lots of accessories and is composed partly of metal.
Usually, when the idea behind owning one of these toy replica guns is to begin engaging in team shoot outs or one-on-one shooter type games, there will be a need to add several different pieces of gear to the kit. This can include using a tactical vest or harness that’s capable of holding several BB storing magazines and additional battery packs for use in a firefight.
Batteries that are used in these airsoft guns generally charge up fairly quickly although a new battery might require four hours or so in order to gain a full charge. As with any other sort of rechargeable battery try to drain it completely before recharging it fully in order to avoid problems with the battery developing a memory, which could cause it to shut the weapon down in the middle of usage.
Airsoft guns that fire off hundreds of rounds of soft plastic or rubber BBs have become a fun and exciting way to engage in first person shooter competitions and role-playing games for children and adults alike. They can be a cleaner and even safer way to engage in such activities than would normally be found with paintball or traditional copper BB weapons.

Should Parents Allow Their Children To Play With Airsoft Guns?

Many parents become alarmed when their children avidly ask for airsoft guns for special occasions. Airsoft guns are actually harmless as long as the proper safety protocols are followed.
Airsoft usage is probably one of the safest means that children can use guns today. However, there are still many people that wish that airsoft guns were simply banned. Before you come to an assumption about the guns, it helps to have a little background knowledge about the guns.
Airsoft guns are toy guns that look a lot like a real gun. They fire off pellets at a rate of 25m to 45m. The guns are not like the old BB guns that many people consistently keep comparing them to. They will not fire out windows or anything of that nature.
The guns have been around for a series of 30 years, so inadvertently they are not as new as many people avidly presume them to be. The guns are designed for a plethora of recreational activities which include paintball, target practice and even war simulation games.
The guns were created in Japan. During the time of their creation firearms in Japan were prohibited, however people still wanted a gun that would serve a recreational purpose. They decide to make a non-lethal pellet that would shoot from the gun instead of a bullet or BB that could cause ailments.
The guns quickly began to grow all over Japan. People from many different walks of life were requesting one of the guns for themselves. They branched out to Hong Kong and the Philippines, however they did not reach the peak of their popularity until they reached the UK and the US.
There are three main types of airsoft guns that anyone can obtain. The guns are the spring operated series, the gas operated series, as well as the battery powered gun. All of the guns are to be used for recreational activities and they accredit themselves as being extremely safe.
The guns are not difficult to operate. They launch pellets which will not cause any harm to your children as long as they take heed of the safety precautions that must be followed while operating the guns.
To ensure that your child is safe you should always make them wear protective gear when using the gun. All children should be equipped in a mask that will protect their faces, goggles, and a pair of gloves when they are playing with the guns.
All players who want to do anything with the airsoft guns should be equipped in the proper protective wear. It seems as if many kids are already used to different safety precautions that they must follow, therefore getting them to wear protective equipment while playing with their airsoft guns should not be a difficult task.
Therefore, enforcing safety precautions with the airsoft guns and your children should not be any battle at all. You should consistently observe the law when playing with the guns and ensure that your children are always properly armored.

Airsoft Guns Are Great For Hunting And Fun

Airsoft guns can be used for activities such as hunting, or simply for fun. There are a plethora of different products available that fall under the lines of these guns and often times knowing the right gun to choose can be a daunting task.
First you need to distinguish what you primarily plan on utilizing your airsoft guns for. If the gun is going to be utilized to shoot at man made targets then you need a gun that is perfect for aiming at specific things. The prime gun for this job is known as a target gun.
If you want a gun that you do not have to excessively re-cock before you shoot then you are implored to look into obtaining one of the pre-charges airsoft guns to help you in this predicament. With the pre-charged guns you are able to shoot at a faster rate and do not have to cease your shooting to re-cock pellets back into the chamber.
This brings on the subject of the kind of pellets that you wish to utilize in your airsoft guns. If you’re trying to determine which pellets will move faster than most, then you need to pay attention to the pellets size on top of everything else.
Pellets that are larger in stature move slower through the air because they can not build up enough wind resistance. You can evaluate what pellets will be best for you to use simply by looking at the pellets size and simply asking a professional what each particular pellet is meant to be used for.
If you have your heart set on obtaining a target air gun, you need to assure that the accuracy on the gun will meet your expectations. The way to ensure the accuracy is correct is to first analyze the pellets that are primarily used with the particular gun. You should also pay an immense amount of attention to the barrel lip and crown of your gun. These two essential properties of your gun are the deciding factor on the overall accuracy of the gun.
Balance is a big factor when it comes to hitting your targets in the precise spot that you want. High winds can actually throw your pellets off course and cause your shot to be anything less then perfect. You are implored before you go hunting or decide to commence in target practice with your gun that you try a few practice shots to assure that the wind does not catch your pellet as it goes streaming across the sky.
The airsoft gun that you decide to obtain should be primarily based off of what you plan on utilizing the gun for. However, if you are interested in a gun that has superb aim and balance then you may want to look into obtaining two separate guns to complete the task.
Even if you are interested in obtaining one type of airsoft gun, you should be open for some recommendations. Some of the guns are a better shot on different animals, so you need to keep this in mind as well

Airsoft Guns Need Respected Constantly

One of the most popular items amongst young boys and girls on a Christmas wish list includes airsoft guns. Airsoft guns are relatively inexpensive and can make an excellent tool for teaching a child responsibility. These guns are very good for training purposes, in order to prepare the kids to become excellent marksman for hunting or even the military or police academy.
Children love to do as adults do. The fact is if a child has a desire to hunt animals, then this type of gun is essential for the child to get the hang of having a gun, and how to use it, and clean it properly. Always teach children how to take proper care of the gun, and explain the importance of the proper uses for the gun. These fundamentals will carry on as the child graduates into a young adult and is allowed to hunt.
In most cases, when a gun like this is used for protection of the home, there is no fatalities as a result. The guns can be very powerful though, and are able to kill small animals and hurt people that are not intended to be on the property. The recommendation is not to shoot this type of gun at any person, unless harm is the intention of the invader. Then or course, aim for the body, these guns will take out an eye.
While the gun is on safe, the correct procedure of loading ammunition needs to be learned by the child. Always stress the fact that gun needs to be on the safe mode before loading, unloading, and reloading. Then explain the importance of where the barrel of the gun is, the barrel location of the gun is another important gun handling lesson.
Sometimes the adult will have to read the instruction manual in order to learn how to load the gun properly. All airsoft guns have different ways of loading ammunition, and the proper technique will need to be learned, in order to be instructed correctly. Sometimes there are extra ammunition clips that can be purchased. These can be loaded any time, but the gun must be in the safe mode to switch the ammunition clips.
Keep all ammunition and guns under lock and key, or hidden so that the parent will always know when the child is using or wants to use the gun. This will diminish the chances of the child getting hurt or hurting someone else because the gun is being used without parental permission. The gun can always be used as leverage for behavior issues as well.
There has been bank robberies and hold ups stemming from the purchase of air soft guns. In some cases the replicas resemble the real gun in such a way, that policemen have been fooled into shooting a person because of the presence of a gun.
Once these rules are explained and enforced, chances are when the situation arises for the purchase of a real live firearm, the safety rules with be of second nature to the young adult which learned these rules as a child. There earlier these guidelines are instilled the safer the gun user will be later on in life.

The Benefits Of Using An HPA Tank On Your Paintball Gun
November 18, 2009 by Gary Garrett
New players to paintball often go for the less expensive equipment and markers. This is comparable to how beginners of all sports usually start with equipment that doesn’t cost an arm and a leg.
While CO2 is the power source of choice for many of the more affordable markers, it isn’t the best choice. It will work fine for many, but for players who want the best performance they can get from their marker, HPA is a better option, although it is more expensive.
Upgrading to HPA (also known as compressed air) is a good idea for players wanting the best performance from their marker. The main reason to switch to HPA is improved performance.
For anyone that has shot a paintball marker at a high rate of fire for a longer period of time, you know how much consistency from shot to shot drops. The paintballs begin to fly at shorter distances, which makes it difficult to hit your target.
CO2 has difficulty expanding fast enough from liquid to gas when you are shooting fast. No one wants to have their paintballs fly at unpredictable distances when they are trying to hit a target.
If you often play in the winter months using CO2 can be detrimental to your markers performance. You can think of cold weather as CO2s worst enemy when it comes to shooting it through your paintball marker.
When you shoot fast, your marker can “freeze up” which happens when the liquid enters your marker and wreaks havoc in performance. It can cause your gun to sputter, choke, or stop working.
If you have ice shooting out of your gun or what looks like a cloudy, icy, muzzle flash and had your paintballs shooting at erratic distances, you might want to consider making the switch to compressed air.
Inside of your CO2 tank you have both liquid and gas. Paintball markers run well on gas, but when the liquid gets inside during rapid fire, it causes problems. Performance will suffer. HPA tanks are great because there is only gas in the tank.
So, if you are a paintballer that wants the best performance they can get from his marker, investing in a compressed air tank is a must.

Vertical Jump Development Bible – Drills To Jump Higher

There are many sports such as basketball, volleyball, and gymnastics, in which it is important to be able to jump high. The ability to jump higher in the game of basketball, for example, will definitely add some flair into your game. But do not forget that athletes are not born players. They became athletes because of continuous hard work, determination, and the proper guidance from their coaches and trainers. If you want to be able to jump higher, you must apply the same principle. Work hard for it. Try out some Drills To Jump Higher.
High jump drills incorporate exercises like lunges, frog hops, calf raises, plyometrics, board or rim touches, and jumping ropes.
Lunges build your core leg muscles. To do this type of drill, lunge forward with the first leg with the knee of the second leg almost touching the ground. Return back to your standing position and repeat using the alternate leg. Because your calf muscles contribute to about twenty-five percent of your overall jump, one of the best drills you can do to jump higher is calf raises. Use the stairs as platforms and perform the drill slowly.
Board or rim touches are effective in training your explosive power for rebounding and shot blocking. Stand below the rim, jump, and try to touch it with both your hands. Jumping rope is another great way to build your lower body endurance while increasing your jumping ability.
Aside from building your endurance, high jump drills make sure that stress is given to strengthen your legs, specifically your calf muscles. Remember to do these exercises in reps and to maintain a record to be able to see your progress. Also, regular practice will help to keep your energy levels high throughout even the most challenging games. By doing these exercises, you will be able to increase your high jumping ability and use your skills in a variety of situations that require power and precision.

Vertical Leap Workout – Increasing Your Vertical Jump Without Weights
November 8, 2009 by Brayden Fisher

Is lifting weights necessary to increase my vertical leap? Many people have asked me this question in the past. Not everyone out there enjoys going to the gym to lift weights and they would like to know if they are able to improve their vertical leap without them. Well the answer to that question is…….YES you can definitely improve your vertical jump without using weights!
I have a passion for vertical jump training and I think everyone should be able to benefit from it. Let’s face it, not everyone can afford a gym membership these days. However, that should never stop you from training. Below I have listed several body weight exercises that are not only challenging but are excellent at increasing your vertical leap.
A Vertical Jump Strength Workout – (Without Weights)
Step ups – Step ups are a simple exercise and can be done pretty much anywhere. All you need is a bench or platform. Step up onto the bench and then step down. Once you are back on the ground step up again with the opposite leg. You can make this exercise more difficult by holding dumbells.
Bodyweight Squats - Squats are BY FAR the best overall exercise you can do to improve your vertical leap. They target every muscle group that we are looking for. When squatting make sure you come parallel to the ground. If you want to increase the difficulty, try one-legged squats….very difficult
Lunges – Lunges are a very common exercise and they are effective as well. Step forward with one leg while lowering your body. Try not to take too large of a step, you should have about 2 1/2 feet between your front foot and back foot. Keep your shin perpendicular to the ground and do not let your knee pass in front of your toes. Push yourself back up and repeat this with the other leg.
Rim Touches – Although these are called rim touches you can perform this without a basketball hoop if you want. Find a basketball rim and jump as high as you can. Do not take more than one step before you jump. Now EXPLODE up as hard as you can. We are only going to do this five times. Then rest for a minute and repeat this exercise three more times. DO NOT do more reps than this. In order to improve your vertical jump you need to train your EXPLOSION and if you do a bunch of reps you will be training your stamina and this will not improve your vertical.
It is possible to get significant gains in your vertical jump without weights. BUT…..yes there is a but, most people are not going to even come close to their true vertical jump potential without using a proper weight training program. If you only train using body weight exercises there will come a time when your vertical leap gains stop and the only way to further your progress is to improve your base strength.
I suggest using a strength training program that uses both weight training and plyometric exercises to get the best results. I was able to increase my vertical leap from 31 to 43 inches by using this type of program. For more information about how I was able to do this take a look at the links I have below:

The 5 Ab Exercises That Produce Results
November 2, 2009 by Henry Artigon

The big players in the abdominals business are well aware of the ton of money to be made. In order to get as much of that money as possible they’ve developed countless products with the objective of keeping you from getting the results you want and instead keep on selling you the lastest device. Unfortunatly the great majority of these machines are not very effective. Don’t waste your hard earned money on these time wasters, spend your time on ab exercises that do actually work, and save that precious money while getting what you really want. Just do these five exercises and you’ll get the great abs you have been looking for.
#1 – The Deadlift Known as the king of exercises, the deadlift isn’t for wimps. As one of the three core lifts of international powerlifters, the deadlift is associated with big, musclebound strongmen. Don’t get worried though, deadlifts won’t make you look like a giant overnight. It takes a very specific diet to get the type of physique that those guys have, and without it, deadlifts will simply work out your legs, back, and abs very effectively. A true must for any ab routine.
#2 – The squat is a powerful ab builder. Is is considered to be a leg exercise, however, it also utilizes the ab muscles to keep your body straight while balancing weight on your shoulders. You need to perform the exercise while keeping your abs tense and your chest out. Your legs will certainly get a through workout and your abs will receive great benefit from this exercise.
#3 – The Sit Up This is a classic abdominal isolation exercise, and is incredibly effective when performed alongside the two other major lifts. For best results, do your sit ups at the end of your weights routine, and after any major cardio. Isolation exercises are always best done at the end of your routine, as they stress muscle groups that have already been exercised in your major lifts.
#4 – The Military Press This is another weighted exercise, and one that also exercises your chest, shoulders and arms. In order to engage the abdominals, you need to stand upright while performing this lift — sitting down takes the strain off your abdominals and instead places it on your legs. Simply push your weights from shoulder height to above your head, all the while using your abdominals to keep your body straight and upright.
#5 – An exercise that really leaves the abs pumped is the leg raise. This one does require a little bit of equipment but no contraptions. Either a chin up bar or a leg raise frame. Just perform the exercise by raising the legs to your waist keeping them straight and pointed. This one should be done at the end of the routine. The abs will receive an exhausting workout with this one.

Discover The Most Effective Ways To Build Muscle Fast
October 9, 2009 by Emmanuel Palmer
Many times people work out to shed the pounds and maybe lift some weights when they’re feeling extra industrious that day. What about you? Is this you or do you belong to the rare breed who are up for the challenge of packing on some serious muscle? If so, then read on to find effective ways to build muscle fast.
For some people, building muscle mass may be easier than losing weight and keeping it off. Either way, the same persistence, and discipline should be exercised in whatever training you decide to take on. Some bodybuilders relish the idea of hitting the gym hard every day; do not do this. Make sure you spend only a maximum of an hour and a half per session about 2 to 4 times a week. Take the days in between as an opportunity to rest well. Sleep allows the body to repair and grow the tears in muscle tissues obtained from exercise.
When exercising, use power in lifting the weight and control in lowering. This will increase your body mass, stamina and strength. Always ensure that you have a correct form so that you don’t risk injuring parts of your body. Many times, all it takes is a shift in position to improve the quality of the whole set of drills.
Gym instructors will often start you off with lower weights and higher repetitions. As your body becomes more used to the physical strain of your regular workouts, gradually increase the weights you are lifting. The key to muscle development is to continually challenge your body to push its perceived endurance capacity. Have a spotter or professional trainer nearby to assist you especially in the heavier loads. Do not compromise your safety when working out.
Naturally, your muscles will experience soreness when you begin high intensity training-expect it like the rising of the sun the next day. If you’re doing your exercises properly, this pain means you’re doing it right. Do not try to exercise that particular muscle when it’s still sore, train the other parts instead. Split training your muscle groups is an effective method many trainers can attest to. An example would be training your biceps and back on one day; and your chest and triceps another day. Take a rest of 1 to 2 minutes between sets.
General rule of thumb: if your aim is to lose weight, try a high aerobic training, low calorie diet; if building muscle mass is your goal, the opposite is what you want to do. Simply put, eat a lot. Check what your body type is but on average, you will want to take around 3000 calories a day. This doesn’t mean it’s time to throw a one man pizza eating marathon though, a sensible eating plan should still be observed. Maintain a diet rich in protein, fiber and carbohydrates. Get information on recommended supplements and protein shakes that can fill in needed nutrients in your diet.
Do not be taken in by every fad and promised benefit of fitness products and programs out there. Remember, many are the ways to build muscle fast, but you have only one body to keep. Take care of it and it will take care of you the rest of your life.
