Coming to Terms with GAD (Generalized Anxiety Disorder)

The fictitious beliefs surrounding GAD or generalized anxiety disorder are many. Some say it is not an illness of great import and the people that have this are just suffering from a weak mind. This is just a stereotype that has become commonplace and the accuracy of this diagnosis is totally off-track. Millions of people who have GAD are suffering from a genuine incapacitating condition that is not a figment of their imagination.

GAD is a chronic panic form that is focused on worry and nervousness. Paranoia, fear and nervousness are the feelings a person suffering from GAD will deal with on a regular basis. The feelings will involve personal, family and financial matters. To qualify as GAD, the feelings must be of at least a 6 month duration.

When one suffers from GAD, there will be a tendency to suffer from a variety of symptoms. These symptoms can include drowsiness, lack of energy, irritability, forgetfulness, chronic insomnia, and other issues. In short, so much anxiety if weighing on the person’s mind that the psychological problem starts to manifest in physical ways. This is where the person suffers to the point common life activities are impeded.

In some cases, the sufferer of GAD may experience Post Traumatic Stress Disorder symptoms. This could include flashbacks of traumatic, anxiety inducing events. These intrusive flashbacks can greatly undermine the quality of the person’s life and lead to living a life far less beneficial than one would experience without dealing with GAD. This is why seeking treating for GAD is so important.

The primary step in treatment focuses on receiving a proper analysis. Such an analysis is carried out by a psychiatrist by means of a series of tests. Once the psychiatrist has made a proper diagnosis, they will move on to the next treatment. In many cases this usually involves being given prescriptions for anti-anxiety medication in order to control the problem.

While many patients respond extremely well to such medication, there are of course others who prefer to use the services of a therapist instead, in order to discuss options with regards to counseling. Likewise, there are also some sufferers who make speedy recoveries after being treated with a combination of the two treatments already mentioned.

It is, however, important not to dismiss engaging in simple lifestyle changes to reduce anxiety. Playing sports, cleaning up one’s diet, taking part in hobbies that burn up excess tension can all have a calming and therapeutic. This is why they are considered so valuable.[youtube:qEJ6Nvhq_a8;[link:Cure Panic attacks - Treatment For Anxiety];http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qEJ6Nvhq_a8&feature=related]

Those who think GAD is not a serious condition should be dismissed. The opinions of these people are not based on any professional knowledge and are not going to help. The condition is not going to go away by ignoring it and listening to well meaning advice is not advised. This is a myth and has no value as a cure. Seek help from those who know what they are doing.

Its fantastic and magical how creative visualization works to create success for the he person who is visualizing. Yes, its magic ” totally natural magic and one of the most superb aspects of being a human being!

What is Magic? Magic is just understanding and getting in tune with the natural principles that govern our universe, and using those principles in a consciously creative way. Focus, visual focus is the key to success and Id like to take a few minutes to explain it to you.

How Innovative Visualization Works

Lets resume how Creative Visualization works, by looking at 5 Universal principles:

1. Our carnal universe is made up of energy, (Law of Physics).

2. Energy is magnetic in the whole nature (Law of Physics)

3. Equivalent energies attraction to each other (like attracts like-Universal Law of Attraction)

4. Form follows thought. Form/physical substance is made by thought/ mental energy. (Einstein)

5. Visualizing something creates a focus – a thought form, from your mind ” to the Universal mind. (What you focus on. Increases.)

6. Whatever you put out to the Universe will be get back to you. (What goes around comes around!)

Four Basic Steps for Productive Creative Visualization

1. Set your objetive ” Tell yourself what you want

2. Create a clear idea or picture ” Imagine looking the way you want to look! See the goal achieved! With this close your eyes and see it in your minds eye many times a day. Feel your desire intensely.

3. Focus on it as much as possible

4. Give it positive energy. Consider only good about it, feel only good feelings.

Work with this process until you achieve your goal, or you dont want it anymore. Goals often change before they manifest. If you lose interest, it usually means you need a new goal.

Do not Die With Your Music Still Inside Of You

What is it that you love doing? What activity simply makes you beam when you think of it? What is it in your life that you’d do even if you didn’t get paid to do it?

Well, whatever it was that sprang to mind is what you need to be doing. This is the thing should be come your avocation. What you need to do on a daily basis.

Why is it that we’re the only living creature on this earth that doesn’t believe that we’re worthy of being happy? Why is it that we allow others to control our joy our happiness our zest for life?

If you observe the animals, they do ‘what comes to mind’. If you watch a puppy, it will run and jump and play with no thought to ‘what should I be doing’. Watch nature shows and you’ll see monkeys just swinging aimlessly around the trees.

The other day, I watched a video recording of a monkey annoying a tiger. It was up in the trees above this beast that would really enjoy him for dinner just playing as though he did not have a care. The monkey would swoop down and tap the tiger on the head or yank its tail.

Then there is the storry about a kitten and the old street wise Tom cat. The kitten was spinning and spinning chasing his tail. The Tom asked the kitty what he was doing. “Well”, the kitten said, “I’ve been to cat schooling and they told me two things. First that the important thing that I am to do in live is be happy and two that happiness is in my tail. So, I’m going to catch up with my tail and be happy”. To this, the Tom said “I never had the opportunity to go to school and gained all of my knowledge on the streets. But, I too, have found out that the prime goal is happiness. I also learned that happiness is in my tail. But, I have learned to just go my way as I wish and my tail and happiness will just follow me all along’.

Tolstoy penned a novel about life by the name of ‘The life of Ivan Ilych’. Ivan was on his death bed and asked the question “what if my life has been a mistake”. Do not get to the conclusion of your life and question if you should have done things otherwise.

We so often place our happiness in the hands of others. We think only of others and fail to enjoy our life on a daily basis.

When you are trying to make a decision about something that you want to do, apply the rocking chair test. When you are trying to decide to do something or not just think about when you are old and grey and sitting on the front porch and think about this decision. Will you say about the thing that is troubling you “I wish I would have done it” or “I am glad that I did it”.

Life it way too short to be lived in the eyes of others. Live your life for yourself. Live your life as if god can see you, because he can.

Dare something worthwhile. Not necessarily something that will win the nobel peace prize or anything that grand. It may be as “little” as smiling at a child.

If you are having a problem with the law of attraction and the fact that “what you give out comes back”, try this little test. As you are walking down the hall at work or down the street, look at the next 20 people that you meet and do one of two things. At half of these people look at them directly and say “Hi” with a big smile. At the other half look straight at them and give them a big snarl or ugly face. What did you get in return.

It is a known fact that you cannot give out more than you get back.

The best thing to do is to do what you love, there by giving something that you love. That being said, you will then begin to get more of the same back.

Life is as good as I allow it to be.
