A lot of people as of recent have taken their weight into consideration. This is partially the result of a recent report from the Surgeon General indicating that obesity is becoming an epidemic. Countless weight loss plans and various sorts of diets are on the market, including some that advocate the use of laxatives as a great way to shed pounds. This leaves many people wondering, ‘Are there any safe weight loss laxatives?’
Simply put, the answer to this question is “no”. Laxatives were developed exclusively as a treatment for constipation. When used to forcefully evacuate the bowel, however, they can cause tears in the intestinal wall which may lead to an infection.
Besides, a dietitian or someone that knows how to properly lose weight can tell that you will only lose five to six pounds at the most using laxatives because they only help you lose water weight. This weight will quickly be replaced as soon as the individual eats or drinks anything.
There are different types of laxatives, saline, stimulants, fiber, and stool softeners. Over-the-counter laxatives may be a blend of more than one formulation. The truth is laxatives take water away from other areas of the body to flush waste. The excess water makes the waste pass much easier and in a much softer form. For this reason, you can only expect to lose a few pounds of water when you use a laxative.
Now that you know how laxatives work, you can see this is not a healthy or harmless method of reducing body mass. Aside from the safety concerns, laxative use cannot achieve lasting weight loss results, nor can it provide a large enough weight reduction to serve as a legitimate solution.

Fat does not come off of a specofic body area with exercise. You have to lose weight overall, and then a proportionate amount will come off of your stomach. Why don’t you want to strengthen your abs in the process? Tight abs look really good.
